Powerful Dutch marine painting depicting a fierce naval engagement. A large Dutch warship is engulfed in flames at the centre, with another vessel nearby and a small rescue boat with sailors struggling in turbulent seas in the foreground. Dramatic sky filled with smoke and firelight.
