Exquisitely detailed, the andirons are cast in the form of fluted ribbon wrapped torcheires with flame finials, each resting on a pair of detailed paw feet and decorated with an additional flame tip at the iron log support. Standing approximately 21" in height, measuring 9" wide and 18" in length, this is a substantial well crafted pair weighing just under 9 pounds each. Truly an exceptional set that is in remarkable condition, clean and ready to enjoy, they appear as if they have spent their life displayed in a fireplace that was seldom ever used. The brass is of high quality and polishes with ease to a brilliant golden luster.
