19th century French armoire, crafted in oak with accents of pine and detailed with decorative inlay throughout the two doors. Each door features a unique inlaid pattern within the panels, while carved floral and vine motifs accent the top and center between the doors. The scalloped skirt includes additional carving, including a tree motif, and the cabinet rests on cabriolet feet. Brass escutcheons adorn each door, and two lower drawers are fitted with two large brass handles each. Long French brass hinges run the length of each door and add to the character of the cabinet. The doors open to reveal two interior shelves. Holes were carved into the bottom shelf at some earlier point in time. The right door secures in place with a simple interior snap/latch at the top, and the left door secures with an interior sliding lock at the top. The lock and key no longer function. Restored stable and ready for use. Typical age-related separation is seen in the front panels, along with additional age-related cracks, scuffs, and nicks consistent with many years of use. Some separation is also seen along the side planks.
