Pair of antique French opaline Japonisme style Baccarat stamped lamps. Baccarat referenced Japanese woodblock prints in their glass designs, many of which were displayed at the Paris International Expositions in 1867 and 1878. Baccarat was one of the first French glass companies to produce glass in the Japonisme style. The canary yellow is vibrant and the hand-painted flowers are beautifully executed. From the estate of an Alexandria, VA antiques dealer.
Mounted on faceted brass-finish bases and fitted with brass hardware

Base: 5" x 5" at widest points
Lamp/vase body: ~6" at widest point, 4.5" at top
Height: 28" to top of harp (no finial), ~19" to top edge of socket, ~15" to top edge of vase top

Wear consistent with age and use, including light surface wear and patina to metal components. One lamp has some dark speckling near the top, and signs of wear at vertical seam (see photos). Both lamps have small sliver where yellow paint is worn/not applied to reveal white underneath, and areas where brass finish is worn. See photos for all of these details and full view of condition.
