Pair of French Louis XVI Style Walnut Fauteuils Chairs
19th Cent, France
French Louis XVI style fauteuils, each featuring a classic oval (medallion) back within a finely carved walnut frame. The chairs are detailed with neoclassical motifs, including fluted legs, carved rosettes, and shaped arm supports, reflecting the refined symmetry and restraint characteristic of the Louis XVI period. Upholstered in a neutral patterned fabric with a subtle geometric motif, the seats and backs are framed by nailhead trim. Raised on tapering, fluted legs terminating in toupie feet. Affixed with old estate inventory label.
