Beautiful green, pink and blue Chinoiserie vase in a quatrefoil (four leaves) shape featuring four panels: two depicting two Mandarin ducks facing each other and surrounded by pink lotus florals, while the another two panels feature more pink lotus flowers and dragonflies.
This design is full of symbolism: the pink lotus signifies the ultimate purity of the heart and mind because it rises untainted and beautiful from the mud. The Mandarin Ducks are the symbol of eternal devotion; they are said to mate for life and live in harmony until one dies. Rather than live in loneliness the legends says the surviving duck soon allows itself to perish.
