August Harald Östergren (1888-1974), artist, decorator and designer, born in Stockholm. Between 1913-1917 he studied at the Konstakademin in Stockholm, and then continued his studies in Germany. In 1920 together with Edvin Ollers and Gabriel Burmeister, founded an experimental ceramics workshop in Vittinge. In 1923 he was employed as artistic director at Upsala-Ekeby AB, where he designed and decorated ceramics until 1947. This piece has an attribution mark,
