This teapot music box was imported by the Montgomery Ward Co. department store and it is Japanese made fine China produced for Montgomery Wards dinner line ware that they had produced from the mid 1940's-60's. This teapot music box was made with a lovely floral motif that is done in a brightly colored enamel design that is done over the top of the glaze which was made in the style of the English Pottery maker Portmeirion that first made the pieces for Montgomery Ward in the 1940's with brightly colored lovely detailed floral designs. The teapot is the large music box version measuring 6 3/4" tall by 9 3/4" wide from handle to spout and it is in it's original "Pristine Working Condition" with no chips, no cracks, no repairs to the piece, and very little wear to the piece for it's age in still working condition with a pretty piano tune that plays when you pick up the piece after winding it.
