A ten-light crystal dining room chandelier, circa 1950, features a circular, square-section brass frame and ten curved arms, each shaped … Read more A ten-light crystal dining room chandelier, circa 1950, features a circular, square-section brass frame and ten curved arms, each shaped like a scroll at the end and interspersed with round tubes at the bottom. The chandelier is richly decorated with almond-shaped crystal drops; the larger diameter features large rosettes alternating with six-petal flowers constructed from hand-strung crystal beads. The distinctive feature of this chandelier is the decoration of the central structure, which is adorned with a dense entanglement of beaded festoons surrounding a crystal pinnacle, each supporting additional beaded pendants.
The chandelier has been completely rewired with 2 x 0.50 mm brown, narrow-ribbed flat wire, patinated on site to match the color of the oxidized brass frame. The ten candles have E14 miniature sockets, and the chandelier is wired for a maximum power of 750 watts.
It is of Italian origin, handcrafted around 1950, and completely restored by our workshop. It is now in perfect condition.
It weighs 24 kg.
