Convertible furniture is practical and in demand!
A very cool and practical piece of furniture with a striking design.
Thanks to a swivel mechanism in the backrest, the sofa can be transformed into a bed in no time.
Even more practical: when freestanding, the sofa can be used from either side.
Most practical of all: it offers storage space for bedding and pillows! Fold it up, fill it, and you're done!
On top of that, the piece is incredibly decorative and a prime example of the design of its time!
Probably produced in the late 1960s.
Upholstered in a typical, bright blue, turquoise, and green striped, coarse wool fabric, the frame is made of white, plastic-coated pressed wood.
The upholstery itself is in excellent condition, with a tiny hole at the bottom near the frame, some repairs to the frame on the edges, and one screw cover is missing (temporarily replaced with an incorrect color/size one—we're still sourcing a perfect replacement!). All of this is documented in detailed photos!
All upholstered furniture is cleaned twice by us (upon arrival and before departure) with upholstery cleaner.
Overall, a sensational original with period charm in excellent condition.
