Often referred … Read more This antique Czech glass bud vase by Harrach was handcrafted in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, around 1900. Often referred to as a “Soap Bubble Vase,” the piece combines a clear blown glass vessel with three softly tinted pale green glass spheres forming the base, creating a playful yet balanced sculptural composition characteristic of early Art Nouveau glass design. The gently flared rim rises from a rounded urn-form body in transparent Czech glass, while the spherical supports introduce a subtle sense of movement and lightness. The soft green tint contrasts delicately with the clear body, producing shifting reflections and shadows depending on the light and viewing angle. Small in scale yet visually distinctive, the vase works beautifully as a bud vase for a single stem or as a standalone decorative object. Harrach glass from this period is admired for its refined craftsmanship and experimental organic forms associated with Jugendstil design in Central Europe.
