All 6 plates bear the mark "Sowerby del et lith" indicating Sowerby drew and lithographed them. The four lithographs featuring Miter shells all bear the mark "prel: lith:Linn:imp" indicating preliminary lithograph Egidius Linnig impressit (printed). The plate Murex Plate VII bears the mark "Vincent Brooks Imp." referring to the major British lithographic firm that printed it. The plate Murex XIV bears the mark "Reeve, Benham & Reeve, imp." referring to the London publisher active in the mid-19th century that printed it.

I would simply state that the condition is generally very good, with light toning, soiling, minor wear, paper loss, fraying, and scattered spotting indicative of its age. I've taken photos in various lighting conditions and with different backgrounds to showcase the engravings. What can't be captured by photograph is the depth of texture and color present.
