An exceptional antique sculpture stand, attributed to the renowned firm R.J. Horner & Co., crafted from solid quarter-sawn oak around 1900. This classical pedestal showcases the distinctive quality and design associated with Horner's work from the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods. The stand features a robust, columnar shaft rising from a substantial circular base. The base is expertly carved with three prominent paw or claw feet. The top platform is also circular, with a molded edge, providing an ideal surface for displaying a favored sculpture, vase, or potted plant.
