It is a quadrangular … Read more Galician Art Deco bedside table from the 1920s-30s, made of wood by the Cervigón family business.

It is a quadrangular piece divided into one regular side with simple lines and another irregular, asymmetrical side that simulates drawers of different sizes. For storage, the piece consists of a thinner drawer at the top and a cabinet at the bottom, divided into two levels internally. In addition, the table has two other open compartments of different sizes.

The top is made of opaque black glass, and the handles are the original black Bakelite ones.

Hermanos Cervigón was a cabinetmaking and wood importing company founded in the 1920s and active until the late 1940s. After the 1925 Paris Exposition of Decorative Arts, they adopted geometric lines and the sophisticated aesthetic of Art Deco for their high-end furniture.
