A 20th-century French kidney-shaped stand, crafted from rosewood with intricate marquetry and adorned with ormolu mounts. This piece features a kidney-shaped top and a conforming body with two drawers, each embellished with vibrant floral marquetry patterns in contrasting woods. The sides of the stand are also decorated with similar inlaid floral motifs, framed by delicate scrolling lines. Supporting the piece are four slender cabriole legs, terminating in ornate ormolu sabots. The construction and aesthetic reflect the sophisticated Louis XV revival style, showcasing fine craftsmanship in its detailed marquetry and bronze ornamentation.
