The Modernist oil painting on natural linen is painted by an unknown artist in The Mid Twentieth Century in the manner and " style of " the French artist Henri Matisse. The bedroom interior composition with figure depicted napping features a gorgeous vibrant multicolor palette. The impasto technique with thick application of oil paint adds luminosity, depth, and a dramatic quality to the artwork emphasizing light and texture. The painting is also reminiscent of the works of the Post-Impressionist master Vincent Van Gogh, in it's approach, technique, subject, and color palette.

The rare vintage original one of a kind framed Modernist painting measures 31 1/4" W X 17 7/8" H X 2" D.

It is custom framed in a Contemporary Modern solid walnut wood satin finish minimal profile deep sided museum box style floater frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The painting is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light minor wear.
