A lyrical and atmospheric composition by celebrated American modernist Arnold Blanch, painted in 1960. Associated with the Woodstock art colony and the Social Realist movement, Blanch developed a highly personal visual language that blended figuration with abstraction. Here, loosely rendered figures gather across a luminous, sand-toned landscape beneath a pale horizon, creating a dreamlike scene rich with movement, color, and texture. Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right.
