An exceptional late 19th-century American Victorian pierced brass wall mirror by the renowned maker Bradley & Hubbard, model no. 3564, richly cast with scrolling foliate ornament and dramatic high-relief detailing characteristic of the Aesthetic Movement and Victorian Rococo Revival periods.
Founded in Meriden, Connecticut, Bradley & Hubbard was one of America’s premier decorative arts manufacturers during the late 1800s, celebrated for producing some of the finest cast brass, bronze, and mixed-metal decorative objects of the Victorian era. Their mirrors, lighting, and fireplace accessories are especially sought after today for their remarkable sculptural quality and unmistakably opulent presence.
This beautifully proportioned example features deeply pierced openwork, elaborate scrolling acanthus motifs, floral embellishments, and a bold crest with symmetrical ornamentation throughout. The warm aged brass finish gives the mirror extraordinary depth and richness, while the compact 17" x 13" scale makes it highly versatile for today’s interiors.
Unlike oversized Victorian mirrors that can overwhelm a room, this piece functions almost like jewelry for the wall — ideal layered into powder rooms, entryways, bookcases, gallery walls, dressing spaces, or moody maximalist interiors. It would also photograph beautifully in hospitality-style interiors or designer projects where authentic period texture is essential.
The reverse retains the impressed B&H mark and model number 3564, an important authentication detail collectors appreciate. The pierced casting and dimensional ornament are especially strong examples of Bradley & Hubbard craftsmanship.
An unusually decorative and highly collectible American Victorian mirror that bridges the worlds of antique elegance and modern designer styling.
