The set consists of four armless side chairs and … Read more A complete set of 6 solid Pecan ladderback Thomasville dining chairs. The set consists of four armless side chairs and two matching but wider armchairs aka Captains chairs. They showcase classic Chippendale ribbon-back styling with serpentine, undulating pierced horizontal splats, rounded top rails, and traditional tapered legs. The seats are upholstered in its original multi-yellow-toned striped floral damask pattern. The upholstery is in impeccable vintage condition with only one flaw located on a captains chair see photo. This set is a refined 20th-century, solid pecan wood reproduction in the style of Country Chippendale / George III.

The chairs are signed with a stylized mark, "Thomasville Industries Furniture 1965". This is a n extremely hard to find dining set. Particularly difficult to find this design with regard to the unique ladderback design that has a center medallion from which the upper and lower slats ripple away from the center.
