An antique thick cast brass pot with a forged iron bail handle from th mid-19th-century. Almost a quarter inch thick cast brass. American brass bucket, sometimes referred to as a Hayden patent pail, commonly used during the Civil War era.
Construction: These utilitarian housewares were made using a spun brass method patented by Hiram W. Hayden in 1851.
It features a natural patina from age and use, and can be used for decorative purposes like a planter, for storage, or in rustic kitchen decor.
