This exceptional pair of rustic primitive-style two-tier end tables showcases the kind of handcrafted architectural character rarely found in contemporary production furniture. Defined by their elongated asymmetrical stepped construction, thick slab-style platforms, softly irregular edge contouring, and substantial turned bun legs, the pair offers a grounded sculptural presence that feels both collected and timeless.

Each table features a layered architectural silhouette with the upper platform intentionally positioned toward the rear of the lower shelf, creating dramatic exposed lower surfaces and a distinctive stepped profile. The curved support detailing beneath the upper platform introduces additional sculptural movement while preserving the primitive handcrafted integrity of the original design.

Professionally refinished in our signature Old Chapel Satin Walnut finish, the tables now present with a warm deep cognac walnut tone specifically developed to soften orange and red undertones while preserving the authentic grain depth and natural variation of the wood. These end tables have been professionally refinished in our signature Old Chapel Satin Walnut finish — a warm, deep satin walnut tone designed to reduce orange and red undertones while preserving the natural grain movement and authentic character of the wood.

Crafted from solid wood with substantial slab-style construction, the tables feature thick upper and lower platforms with softened hand-worked edge contouring and turned bun legs with a subtle outward angle that contributes to their grounded primitive architectural stance.

Previous finish wear, age discoloration, surface inconsistencies, scratches, and cosmetic imperfections have been professionally corrected during the refinishing process. The tables now present with a much cleaner and more elevated satin finish while intentionally retaining the organic edge shaping, natural wood variation, and handcrafted irregularities that define the character of the pieces.

The softened uneven edge contouring visible throughout the platforms is original to the design and has been intentionally preserved during restoration. The tables remain structurally solid and substantial throughout with heavy solid wood construction and rich satin walnut depth.

As with all handcrafted and refinished solid wood furniture, minor tonal variation, subtle organic movement, and small irregularities consistent with handmade primitive construction may remain and are considered part of the intended character of the pieces rather than defects.
