They feature sturdy dark wood frames, ornate hand-carved details (including lion head terminals on the backrest posts and crest rails), and are reupholstered in red wool fabric with brass upholstery tacks. The fabric is in very good condition with minor blemishes to seat cushions, and some oxidation to brass tacks due to age (see photos). Each chair features a different hand-carved heraldic crest/coat of arms, unique to each chair in the set. Two of the chairs have what appears to be a maker's stamp on the bottom (pictured here), but it is not quite legible. These fabulous chairs are in good condition with normal wear consistent with age and use, and await the right person and the right setting. More photos available upon request. See less
