An oil on canvas still life painting by Peruvian artist Sonco Carrasco (born 1955). This still life piece features a bowl of red peppers, a plate, two vases and a small wooden doll on a wooden table. Held in a wooden frame with hand-painted geometric design, this painting is signed to the lower right.
Born in Acomayo, Cusco, Peru in 1955, Sonco Carrasco draws inspiration from his country upbringing. He works primarily with oil paint and to create lifelike landscape scenes. In 1984, Carrasco was awarded the National Award of Watercolors from the North American Peruvian Cultural Institute. He currently resided in Lima and continues to work on his oil painting technique.
