The grand arched cornice rises with a graceful serpentine profile, enriched with classical molding, dentil detail, and finely carved ornamentation. At the crest, a beautifully carved basket of flowers is framed by sweeping foliage, giving the piece a sense of ceremony and architectural presence. The proportions are stately and balanced, with the pale stripped oak finish allowing the sculptural carving to take center stage.
The doors are the heart of the piece. Each upper panel is carved with an extraordinary trophy composition of branches, ribbons, tassels, and what appears to be a stylized wood harrow at the center.
