A 1986 airbrush collage, titled "Surprise Letter," by American artist Steve Redman (born 1944). This collage features a white envelope containing a stripped, multi-color squiggles of different lengths against a black background. Held in a gold-tone frame against a white mat, this piece is signed, titled, and dated to the lower edge.
Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman's artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration. His work has been exhibited throughout the wider Indianapolis area, Chicago, New York, Provincetown, and more, receiving numerous accolades.
