Two dental clown figurines by famed sculptor Ron Lee. Signed and dated 1982 and 1989, respectively. Given as gifts to my father, a dentist, by one of his colleagues. Bases of both are onyx or stone. They are both in excellent condition and still retain their vibrant colors.
The clown dentist pulling the tooth from the clown in the dental chair is called "Clown Dentist Oral Surgery Extraction." Including the platform base, it is 7" long, 8.5" tall, and 5.5" wide. The base is 1.25" high. It was made in 1982.
The single figure of the dentist holding a tray of dentures is called "Dr. Timothy Decay." It is about 7" tall including the base.. The base is 1.25" high and and measures 4" across. It was made in 1989.
Ron Lee was born in 1947 and died in 2017.
