Crafted with exceptional detail, this set captures the vibrancy and artistry of traditional enamel work.

A very large Chinese cloisonné enamel gilt metal sculpture depicting an ox pulling a covered cart. The figures are made from cloisonne over brass with intricate colored enamel patterns. The figures are created in the traditional style, featuring bright colors like turquoise, red, and yellow. The cloisonné work is of remarkable quality, showcasing fine wirework and consistent enamel firing. This is a 4-piece set, wagon mounts on the ox and can be freely rolled. The top of the wagon is removable exposing an interior compartment.

A string was added aftermarket to tether the cart to the ox. This ensures stability during display, as the cart may tilt or lift without it.

Ox – 9 ½ in (24.1 cm) long x 3 ½ in (8.9 cm) wide x 7 ¼ in (18.4 cm) tall.
Cart – 14 ½ in (36.8 cm) long x 9 in (22.9 cm) wide x 11 in (27.9 cm) tall

CONDITION
The enamels are in excellent condition with only light pitting and the colors are bright. The gilding on the wires is in excellent condition. There is light wear to the gilding on some of the larger surfaces, including the wheel and hooves. There are scattered spots of verdigris on the feel, the back side of the wheels and larger areas inside the lid.
