"Maja" compote, footed, handblown glass bowl by Orrefors Sweden. Note the faceted shape of the bowl itself. Design of hand-painted pale red flowers and delicate green vines. Double blue lines trim the foot/base. The piece is marked with the black initials "EE AL", which represents the designer Eva Englund and painter Arne Lindblom. Please note that a "maker's mark" is not etched into the glass; the artists' initials and the documentation card verify the authenticity of this Orrefors Sweden bowl.
The charming bowl dates to 1987 as noted on the original information card from the former Orrefors Crystal Gallery in New York City (see photo). Original Orrefors box and felt bag also included.
Bowl is light in weight. Excellent condition; never used or displayed.
