To identify Pairpoint glass, look for signature "bubble balls" (controlled air bubbles) in stems, high-quality polished pontils on the base, and fire-polished edges rather than ground edges

Signatures: With one primary exception, Pairpoint did not sign their glass.

Mt Washington Glass Company merged with Pairpoint Manufacturing in 1894, each company retaining its own identity. In 1900, the combined company was renamed the Pairpoint Corporation.
In 1910, the company began the manufacture of a spherical knob (bubble ball) glass that was used in bookends, bowls, candlesticks, door knobs, and vases. See less
