Pair of large glazed ceramic vases made by Delphin Massier at the end of the 19th century.
Slender in form, they rest on tulip-shaped bases and rise into an elongated stem, ending in a neck adorned with four folded leaves forming handles. The glaze, in a deep raspberry red nuanced with shimmering green highlights, testifies to the expertise of the Vallauris workshops.
Through their proportions and the quality of their glaze, these vases fully illustrate the decorative explorations undertaken by the Massier family, focusing on the effects of texture and color.
France, circa 1900. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
