The rectangular top in varnished solid wood rests on a black lacquered steel wire base formed by double V-shaped arches, creating a light and graphic structure. The overall simplicity stems from a tension between the surface and the line, characteristic of Paulin's early work.

The model was registered on February 26, 1959, under number 90523, and is among the designer's most accomplished creations for Thonet France, with whom he collaborated between 1952 and 1959.
