This beautiful scenic poster was created by the French Railway Authority (SNCF) after World War II to promote visitor traffic to the French countryside in Normandie. The image was created by Raoul Dufy in a format that was used repeatedly by the French Railways to popularize travel to various regions.
Raoul Dufy (1877-1953) was a French Fauvist painter, who is known for his colorful and loosely painted art style. "Impressionist landscape painters, such as Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro had profound influence on Dufy's artistic sensibilities. In 1952 he received the grand prize for painting at the 26th Venice Biennale". This piece has an attribution mark,
