“Long Patch Rainbow”
Original Watercolor on Paper, Signed
A striking and highly saturated watercolor by American artist Tom Graboski, Long Patch Rainbow presents a rhythmic composition of prismatic color bands that bleed and diffuse across the paper. The work captures a full chromatic spectrum—rich reds, oranges, yellows, greens, and violets—rendered with a fluid, atmospheric softness.
Distinctively, the sheet has been intentionally divided horizontally, creating two parallel panels that echo one another while introducing spatial tension. The paper’s natural crinkling and undulation enhance the work’s dimensionality, allowing light to catch the surface and produce a subtle sculptural presence. This interplay between color, form, and texture gives the piece a dynamic, almost installation-like quality. Signed lower left.
Condition: Excellent overall with artist-intended separation and surface undulation. Minor handling wear consistent with medium.
Float-mounted in a shadowbox frame to emphasize dimensionality.
Please note: some reflections in the glass appear in some photos.
