Topping the slender piece is carved ornamentation of a dainty satin ribbon draped over a lute, flanked by delightful scrolled rosettes. Patinated gilt has left a soft glow over the dark wood underneath. Multiple rows of various carving techniques draw the eye into the original plate which exhibits the foxing so desirable of antique mercury glass. At the base, two small feet elevate and protect the elegantly styled molding, mounted on a gray painted wood back panel. The mirror is strung with wire, ready to hang in your interior.
