The small plate is brushed with freeform linework of trailing vines around a central flower blossom, perhaps a chrysanthemum for blessings of longevity. A lovely example of everyday pottery, we love the depth of color to the cobalt glaze and the way the pigment pools at the end of each brushstroke to reveal the maker's hand. The underside bears a hand-painted maker's mark. See less
