A very rare, vintage architecture book, "Architecture for Contemporary Living" by Henry D. Norris, A.I.A. The book features 59 house designs tailored for (1961) modern living. Norris was well-known for his mid-century modern house plans published in major magazines. Many of his designs showcased featured popular mid-century elements like open floor plans and integrated kitchen built-ins.

Henry Dale Norris was born in Brookline MA. He attended the University of Miami and worked for a architectural firm in Miami Beach. He met his wife Anna after WWII on a blind date then took jobs as a production illustrator in an airplane company in Homestead FL and what became Bell Aircraft in Marietta GA. He opened a private practice as Henry D. Norris, AIA. His house plans were widely published in magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens. Later in the 1970s he started Heritage Homes Plan Services. His archives are at the Historical Society of Atlanta.
Norris and his wife are interned at The Episcopal Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead, Atlanta, GA
