A reclaimed sculpture of a male torso in traditional Khmer attire, from a Eastern Thai temple garden, circa 1930, possibly earlier.
Hand-carved from a single piece of sandstone, this statue has been preserved in its natural color and weathered appearance. The details of the attire can be appreciated in their intricacy despite the age and exposure of the stone.
Mounted on a wood / metal stand for a total height of 26.5 inches. Stand base: 9.5 inches wide, 5 inches deep, 2.5 inches high.
