This handsome table was made by John Widdicomb Furniture Company - though there is no label or tag on it -- and was part of the display inventory in our high-end interior design furniture showroom. It was purchased new in the 1990s for our display and was never sold. It is in excellent condition and any small scratches are consistent with age and its being used as a display piece in a showroom setting. The table features various Art Deco design elements including sleek black lacquer panels bordered with polished brass moulding. The ends of the table are fitted with a central open partition that is reminiscent of French Deco furniture designs of the 1930s, featuring inset cast brass geometric motifs. the black lacquer decoration stands out particularly well as it is integrated with the richly colored cherry wood, of which the table is constructed. There is one drawer which is faced with a black lacquer panel and sports two handsome round laurel wreath motif cast brass pulls. The partitions for the Vinyl LP record album storage can slide out to make this section more flexible for whatever storage one has in mind. The legs of the table terminate and are supported by square cast brass casters. The dimensions are 29" wide x 18" deep x 29" high. See less
