This impressive Italian frame, crafted from finely carved and gilded wood, dates back to the first half of the 18th century and reflects the Baroque style of the Louis XIV era.
The frame is distinguished by its richly carved ornamentation, featuring decorative motifs typical of the Italian Baroque, with a harmonious interplay of curves and reliefs that give the piece a remarkable visual lightness and a strong decorative presence.
The gold leaf gilding (or pure gold leaf) enhances the volumes and details of the carving, capturing the light with elegance and refinement.
