The Jumpship is an artwork realized by the artist Andreas Paul Weber in 1957. Lithograph on paper. Monogrammed in the right lower margin. Red ink stamp in the lower left corner. Good Conditions. Andreas Paul Weber (1893 1980) was a German lithographer and painter. He attended, for a short period of time, the Kunstgewerbeschule Erfurt. He was a member of the Romanticist youth movement ‘Jung-Wandervogel’. He served in the military service during the First World War. After the war he again did critical lithographs dealing with contemporary themes and also worked at the satirical magazine "Simplicissimus" from 1954 to 1967. Increasing recognition came to Weber's work: in 1951 the "Griffelkunst-Vereinigung" founded an "A.-Paul-Weber Circle", which also made him financially secure; in 1955 Weber was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Art Prize and, in 1963, the Hans Thoma Medal. In 1971 he was officially designated professor and decorated with the Grand Federal Service Cross. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
