The birdcage is … Read more This late 19th C. birdcage is modeled in the Palladian style of Italian architecture of Andrea Palladio. The birdcage is constructed from exotic fruitwood and wire, and features incredibly ornate carved embellishments of intricate spires, entryways, and impressive domes. The large, central dome is removable, and the doors on each side open. There is one removable tray drawer in the bottom.

Palladian architecture is a European architectural style derived from the work of the Venetian architect Andrea Palladio (1508–1580) from the Italian Renaissance.
