EXCEEDINGLY RARE handmade artesian barstools by celebrated and famed sculptor David Marshall, in the Brutalist-style modernist movement. Seat is constructed of tooled industrial aluminum in an open fretwork pattern, inspired from both nature and industry. Each base is of solid brass construction forged to appear as stem and branch growing upwards from a trifid base to a footrest and up to a dissected reed center column.
Whether interpreted as blooming flowers or booming industry (or both), these sculptural barstools are sure to spark conversation about design and industry alike, the nature of the craft of an artist inspired by the natural scenes around him, and perhaps even spur a bit of "seating envy" by your art-loving friends.
