Traveling Man Treasures Curiosity Vault is selling this 1940s hand-carved tribal folk art water container from the Bahau Dayak of Borneo. Traditionally used for storing water during hunting, this piece is handmade from a light wood featuring a folklore Mindu Nising (Jungle Spirit) amongst jungle creepers. The container is in excellent used condition as shown in the photos.
The Dayak Bahau is an ethnic group in West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
