It was established as Claridge’s in 1854 and was established as a lavish hotel catering to royalty, golden age Hollywood stars and European heads of state. It is situated in the heart of posh Mayfair district. The ashtray/pin dish is in excellent condition with just 5 tiny barely noticeable green edge glaze flakes. It measures 4 x 4 x 1. It is made in France by Pillivuyt. See less

I had a hard time photographing because there was light reflecting on the edges. The flakes are mostly smaller than a pin head. Not noticeable unless scrutinizing under a lamp with reading glasses or a magnifying glass. Does not detract in the slightest. Absolutely gorgeous and rare. less
