This is an elegant king size carved mahogany poster bed from Ethan Allen’s Newport Collection. The bed features a shaped headboard adorned with gorgeous flame mahogany veneer and topped with a backward facing scroll. The four tall and stately posts are carved with ribbon and reed and acanthus leaves and topped with urn-shaped finials. Original stamped brass bolt covers accent the corners. Signed Ethan Allen, and dated 2014.
The 2010s era bed is in very good used condition. The bed is well built and sturdy. The mahogany wood is richly colored and shows very well with minor scattered scratches, dents, and wear from normal use. One of the finials has been repaired. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the bed.
The bed measures 88.5” long, 83.5 “ wide, and 90.5” tall. The headboard height is 57 inches, and the floor clearance is 12 inches. The bed is king sized and can accommodate a mattress up to 80.5” long and 77.75” wide.
