A rare and beautiful original cover from the February 1930 edition of Femina — one of Paris's most exclusive haute couture magazines of the Art Deco era. This is a genuine original cover, not a reproduction or print.
The illustration is a masterwork of Art Deco fashion design: a chic Parisian woman dressed in an emerald green coat and draped in a rich brown fur stole, set against a bold blush pink background. The iconic Femina script logo floats above, with the magazine's subtitle reading "La Mode Dans Le Monde et Pour Les Jeunes Filles" (Fashion in the World and for Young Women). Published by Éditions Pierre Lafitte, Paris.
This piece was sourced, authenticated, and professionally framed by Solcher Marin — the respected vintage art specialists behind Mr. Marin, widely recognized as one of the foremost dealers of original French fashion magazine cover art. Their label appears on the verso, providing important provenance and confirming the authenticity of this original piece.
Professionally double-matted in crisp white and presented in a silver ripple-edge frame. Ready to hang.
Femina was founded in 1901 by Pierre Lafitte and published until 1954. Targeting the most fashionable women of the French bourgeoisie, it rivaled Vogue as the definitive publication for Parisian style and luxury. Its Art Deco-era covers — produced by leading French illustrators — are now highly sought-after collector's pieces and increasingly rare to find in display-ready condition.
