A Brutalist sculpture depicting two elongated trees in bronze, their delicate, branching forms rising from a rough-cut geode base by Belva Ball. Circa mid 20th century. The contrast between the intricate metalwork and the raw, crystalline stone emphasizes organic growth and material tension. The open structure and hand-worked surface align with mid-century modern design, highlighting both sculptural form and natural texture. A distinctive combination of Brutalist design with natural geologic elements. Although Belva Ball exhibited her work sparingly, there is a documented appearance in the 1968 Craft Show at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
