Circa mid 20th century. The contrast between the intricate metalwork and the raw, crystalline stone emphasizes organic growth and material tension. The open structure and hand-worked surface align with mid-century modern design, highlighting both sculptural form and natural texture. A distinctive combination of Brutalist design with natural geologic elements. Although Belva Ball exhibited her work sparingly, there is a documented appearance in the 1968 Craft Show at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
