Jules Coutan's bronze group of a couple. Signed to the base, Jules Coutan (1848-1939). A wonderful construction of youth and action fishing by a stream. Wonderful detail in the inclusion of the land, foliage, and the details of hands, feet, and dress. The youth nets the fish with a true expression on his face as the maiden strains to see the moment. The moment is loaded in action and excitement, which is the subject of the work.
The measurements are 36" tall and 13" in diameter.
