This doll is signed on … Read more Vintage Japanese Kokeshi Dento Narugo wooden doll from the 1960s, measuring 24.5 cm in height. This doll is signed on the bottom with “made by Hikari/Mitsu”. Kokeshi (こけし) are traditional Japanese wooden dolls without arms or legs that have been manufactured for centuries. Initially intended as toys for children, Kokeshi figurines are now popular as interior decorations. They are considered good luck charms, making them highly sought-after gifts and perfect for any occasion that can bring good fortune. The item is made of wood and hand-painted. Made in Japan. The wooden Kokeshi doll is 30.5 cm high, 7.5 cm deep, and 8.5 cm wide. The Kokeshi is in reasonable vintage condition. It has some grain in the wood. See less
