A stunning original Art Deco figured walnut desk. This was made in Aberdeen by James L. Archibald and Sons, it dates from the 1930’s.
It has an unusual design, the quality is absolutely amazing. One side is curved with a useful cabinet space, there is a single drawer in the middle with a bank of drawers on the right, and an additional cabinet attached to the end. The solid wood construction has beautiful figured walnut veneers, giving a striking effect. The walnut handles are original, and this is also beautifully polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.
